Julia stood out to us because she did a great job of asking her PenPals questions. This helped to keep the conversation interesting, and it showed her PenPals that she was eager to learn from them! Julia also helped her PenPals elaborate on their thinking by asking them more questions about their responses.
When we asked Julia what her favorite part of her PenPal exchange was, she told us, "In the project I mostly liked that I had the opportunity to write with people from all over the world. I read and learned about their cultures, traditions, daily life from their messages. In my opinion they are mostly like me but naturally they have different traditions and culture. I'm happy because I had occasion to participate in this project and notice the differences and similarities between us." Check out some of Julia’s great responses below!
PenPals around the world are getting ready to participate in one of our most popular projects, World Explorer, for PenPal Fest 2017 starting October 2nd! This week, we recognize a student who participated in World Explorer earlier this summer. Congratulations to our PenPal of the Week, Julia D from Poland!
