Alina is being recognized for her detailed, thoughtful, and lengthy PenPal responses in the World Explorer project. When responding to the weekly topics, Alina provides her PenPals with details about her daily life in Moscow. Alina does a great job at using detail to thoughtfully explain her thinking. See some of her great responses below!
When asked what her favorite part of PenPal schools has been so far, she told us, “You know, it’s a difficult question to answer. It’s really amazing to communicate with people from other countries which I’ve never been to before. My friends here are all from the USA, so it’s an opportunity to discuss the differences of our lives, to check if everything we learn at english lessons about English-speaking countries is true or not. When I was suggested to take part in this project I thought it would be difficult to chat, because of many reasons like different level of the language or lack of time. Though it appeared to be definitely easy and interesting. And while chatting with PenPals I usually learn some new words or expressions. So, it seems to me, that my favourite part of PenPal exchange is the comparison of different parts of our life. Themes suggested for discussion are vital, so they are easy to discuss. I’m very thankful to my teacher for the suggestion and to the PenPal school for such a great project! Looking forward to your next projects!”
Congratulations to Alina R for being such a great PenPal!
